The Rosewood History Group is a small and enthusiastic group of people who enjoy delving into the history of Rosewood and its environs and discovering more about the pioneer families whose industry and perseverance drove the development of the area and the establishment of this town.
The group has been meeting since July, 2020 and now has a website.
Our intent is to promote awareness of our rich local history and create a repository of historical data that will be of interest to the local and wider community.
Our group members have broad and varied interests which encapsulate many facets of history including Mining, Military, Family History, Photography, House History, Hospitals, Hotels and Businesses to name a few.
The group meets bimonthly at 10.30 a.m. on the third Thursday of the month at the Girl Guides Hut, 79 Matthew Street, Rosewood.
If you’d like to come along to one of our meetings, you will be most welcome. See our website for the dates. (The first three meetings for 2023 are Thursday, 19th January, Thursday, 16 March, Thursday, 18th May.)
